Santa's Helpers
I made up this game because I was looking on the net for Christmas games and
could not find any.  It is based on using 5 squads with about 4-5 students in
each.  I placed the hoops around the opposite end of the gym and attached a
name for each hoop.  I reminded if they were sloppy reindeer and scattered
toys from the houses (hoops) they had to stop and place the toys back in the
hoop before returning to their squad.  The kids loved it and I have a small
gym!  It would be great in a big gym.remind them of safety!
Equipment Needed: 5 Scooters (1 for each squad)
    5 Jump Ropes (Reigns)
                                   5 Cones,
                5 Nerf Balls
    5 Hockey Sticks
    5 Pillow Polo Sticks
    5 Footballs
5 Signs to mark houses (hoops)
    5 Hoops

Objective:  Students will use teamwork and strategy to effectively distribute
all of Santa's toys.

Object of the game: To be the first team done delivering all of the toys to
the correct houses for Santa.

Introduce the object of the game.  Explain that Santa is sick and cannot
distribute all the toys on Christmas Eve so the elves must help out.  Give a
delivery list to each squad and point out that one person must be a reindeer
and one person is the elf on the sleigh (scooter) each elf delivers one toy to
the correct house.

NOTE: Make sure the elves know to which house they are going to help guide the
Reindeer.  Each elf will deliver to a different house and return the sleigh
back to his team.  He then becomes the reindeer for the next elf.  The last
elf is the first Reindeer.

Reindeer hold the middle of the jump rope against their hips as the elf on the
sleigh (scooter) grabs the ends and holds onto them as the reindeer pulls them
to the correct house.

Have fun,
