“No Child Left Behind”

 

Every child has a gift.  Susie can not run fast, but she can balance on a beam.  Jim can not jump but he can count by threes.  Once the gift is identified, we must set up situations to allow student to shine and have an opportunity for success. 

     

Create experts:  Once the teacher has identified the child’s gift, the child is declared an “expert.”  The child’s name and area of expertise is written on a name plate, and other children seek guidance from this child.  A s the year progresses, children are able to add expertise to their name plate. By the end of the year, the children have a list of gifts by their name plate.
