We play a No Dribble Zone Basketball Game with our students in Intramurals.
I find anything close to the actual game is just too much for many of my
older students - forget the younger ones. This is what we came up with.
Grades 3 - 6
Area
We divide the court into four equal zones - I use colored electrical tape
on the floor to show the zones

Interception
Depending on the size of your court will determine the number of players
allowed in each zone. Because I divide a court into 6 mini courts I allow
1 player from each team in a zone.
Rules :
1. The ball must be passed in each zone for a basket to count.
2. The ball may not be dribbled.
3. Only the people in the end zones can shoot the ball.
I rotate students from zone to zone to give everyone a chance playing a
different position.
For a change of pace try it with a rubber chicken - it's a hoot
We find that this appeals to both genders as everyone has to play for the
team to score.
