Joe,
Found the games on your web site brilliant, though
I do have some problems changing the USA grading into UK school system. Anyway
thought you might like this game, it can be played indoors or outdoors and is
a good warm up.
Dishes and Domes
Need: flexi-cones to equal the number of players.
The class is split into two teams Dishes (flexi
cones are put on their narrow ends to look like a dish) and domes (flexi cones
on their wide end to look like a dome). The aim of the game is for the dishes
team to turn all the domes into dishes, whilst the domes team turn all the
dishes into domes.
Each person is given a cone and they put the cone
in a marked area whichever way up uindicates their team. Once all the cones
are in the area the pupils move to the outside of the area and wait for a
signal/whistle. They then have one minute to change the cones to their teams
way up. They are not allowed to protect cones or move them to make groups of
cones, likewise they are not allowed to stand on cones to stop them being
changed. At the end of the minute the whistle is blown again and all pupils
move back to the edge of the area. A penalty can be introduced for pupils who
try to change cones after the whistle. The number of dishes and domes are then
counted and a winner declared. The whole process can be repeated as many times
are wanted I usually do three times.
Thanks compiling all the games they are a God
send.
