CHASE RACE
By: Mike Kocher
Equipment: Two soft balls, and four cones.
How
To Play:
1.
You
divide the group into two groups.
2.
Set
the four cones up to make a pretty good size square.
3.
Put
the two teams on opposite sides of the square.
4.
Each
team gets one ball.
5.
When
the game begins, the first person in line for each team starts to run around
the square. (They will be running in the same direction, chasing each other.)
6.
If
one of the players gets close enough to the other team, they can try to hit
them with the ball.
7.
If
they throw it and miss, they are out.
If they throw it and hit the other team, that person is out.
8.
If
you run around the square once and do not throw the ball, you hand the ball to
the next player on your team and the race continues.
9.
Each
time someone gets out, you reset the game.
When there is only one team with people left, the game is over.
Variation:
If the game goes to slow, you can
shorten the square. If people try to
stop running, and wait to throw at the person coming up on them, you can make
the rule that you have to be behind the person to throw it at them.
